Grande Sendrée 2010 in a few words...
From a single vineyard L'élégance Soils of "crayot
Very low sulfur content
Wood-aged dosage liquor Unfiltered
La Grande Sendrée takes its name from a parcel of land covered in ashes after the fire that ravaged Urville in 1836. A spelling mistake having slipped into the recopying of the land register, Sendrée is now written with an "s" and not a "c".
On light "crayot" soils, the Chardonnay reveals a great elegance while the Pinot Noir, slightly in the majority, brings power and a great vinosity.
Ideal for the aperitif. It goes perfectly with a poached turbot with hollandaise sauce, a carpaccio of scallops or a rack of lamb with foie gras.
